We both came up in the age of Star Wars. For me, it was seeing Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope that started a lifelong fascination with movie magic. I must have seen every BTS documentary ever made on that first film. Stop motion, blue screen, modeling. Artists and model-makers watching elephants walk. All of it captivated me and I wanted in. So my best friends and I bought cameras -- film and video -- and started making shorts of our own. The fascination never left me, and although I chose another path, I eventually came full-circle and now get to make shorter stories for smaller screens.
For as long as I've known Dave -- and since he saw that very first film -- he's been a self-described Star Wars nerd. He knows every storyline of every film. Every character, too. And while I make fun of him for it, it's only because I'm kind of envious that I didn't keep up with the franchise that launched my own love of filmmaking. Dave's knowledge and passion have been invaluable as we've worked for the second year in a row on a huge partnership.
We've had the amazing opportunity to work with the folks at Nissan, Disney, ILM, Skywalker Sound, MPC and director Shawn Levy to create some Star Wars magic for the small screen. In different ways, our dreams of the stars have come true.
Check out the work on every television in America during the month of December and on our Portfolio page.
